The Touchstone TG1662 DOCSIS 3.0 Data Gateway is a 16×4 advanced gateway product. The TG1662 combines two analog voice lines, a 4-port Gigabit Router, and 802.11n wireless access point with two independent simultaneously operating 802.11n radios into a single device capable of support both home and small office applications. Using an advanced dual core processor, the TG1662 can achieve high bandwidth performance without affecting voice quality, a historical ARRIS product standard. This feature packed dual stack IPv4/IPv6 wireless telephony gateway will lead the future for advanced home and small office services. Operators strive to push the limits on DOCSIS 3.0 performance delivered to the customer with both the Ethernet and the wireless interfaces. The two 802.11n radios create two concurrently operating wireless networks on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. The improved antennas provide increased flexibility and throughput and deliver unprecedented performance while also offering improvements in home coverage above those of previous technologies. ARRIS provides cable operators the highest levels of satisfaction with the setup, management, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and has improved on these qualities with the 16xx series.

The TG1662 distinguishes itself with capabilities that minimize an operator’s support needs. Multiple provisioning methods (SNMP, Configuration File, Remote WebGUI access, TR-069, and TFTP) allow a custom designed setup to be efficiently applied to the end user.

The ARRIS implementation of TR-069 capabilities allows a cable operator to more easily monitor, configure, and troubleshoot the home network, providing best in class service for home and business users. Multiple local and remote access levels (User, Technician) also allow more ease and flexibility for manual configuration and control.
