The RCA DCM425 modem is intended for home computer networking and Internet connectivity purposes. The modem features a 38/10 Mbps Down/Up. Furthermore, this modem can connect to a home computer via Ethernet or USB cable. As an external cable modem, the DCM425 modem can easily be relocated as well. Along with the portability of this cable modem, it is also compact, with dimensions of 1.5 inches high by 4.96 inches wide by 4.21 inches deep. The three protocols supported by this modem are DOCSIS 1.0, DOCSIS 1.1, and DOCSIS 2.0. It can connect to a DOCSIS 3.0 enabled network – but at DOCSIS 2.0 speeds.

Enhanced Voice Performance

The DHG535 Residential VoIP modem uses a 300 MHz Dual Instruction MIPS32 CPU and DSP Instruction Extensions for VoIP in order to guarantee superior performance. Gateway and Voice operation support 10Mbs small packet data throughput and 2 complex voice codec calls simultaneously. All standard codecs are supported, including the new iLBC and BV16. Different software images are available to support PacketCable™ 1.5 and SIP.
